Our film is based on Arts stream. We have chosen this as our final project as the Arts stream is the most neglected subject. People say that Arts is for the weaker students and have no good opportunities. We disagree with that opinion as we believe Arts is a very great subject and have so much job options. This film is dedicated to the students of the Arts stream. People say Science and Commerce students are better than Arts students but we feel that the Arts students are better in English. Therefore, it is an advice to the viewers that Arts is not a bad subject and not for weaker students. If you want to be a Journalist, then you better join Arts stream. It is a film of justice to all the streams. So we must follow our dreams rather than listening to others and must be proud of ourselves as we are able to fulfill what we want in our life.

Television and the People
Our film has explored how television has guided its viewers to areas and subjects to which they were previously denied access. The youth believe that they can learn different languages, facts, information, and more from channels like National Geography, Discovery, etc. and also find TV as way to calm and comfort themselves.
The filmmakers hope to encourage the audience to make good use of television.

Fashion Documentary
A common sight if you take a walk in Thimphu town is older people in national attires and youngsters in western attires with spiky, coloured hair. Through our documentary film, we tried to show the differences between these two groups of people in our country. On one hand, we have the older people who still believe in age-old traditions and on the other hand, the youngsters who, instead of embracing and following our own national culture and traditions, is adopting various other cultures. Through our documentary on fashion, we tried to make people aware of three things which are:
1. The depletion of tradition and culture
2. The ignorance of youth today regarding our own cultures and traditions
3. And the generation gap between the old and the young in ways of behaving, dressing, speech, etc. The older people and the younger ones find it hard to understand each other.
So, we hope that our film will make people aware of our culture and traditions that are fast depleting and that we will each do our share to preserve and promote them.

Development in Bhutan
Rubbish
I chose the topic rubbish because rubbish is becoming a serious problem everywhere in the world, and since the vast members were doing a project on rubbish as well, I thought that it will be easier for me to make the documentary when our project (young zoom on garbage) starts. My friends and I thought that the documentary will help people realize how the rubbish is effecting the earth and hope everyone who watches the documentary will understand what we were trying to explain and enjoy our documentary like we enjoyed making it.

Teenagers in Love
We chose this topic because these days, teenagers are really interested in love and so they make boyfriends and girlfriends without their parents knowledge. Some of the readers might think it is okay to have boy-girl relationship, but in a Bhutanese society it is not accepted openly, especially for teenagers.

Life of Taxi Drivers
We chose this topic to help the taxi drivers who are working hard for their living. They suffer for a living since they are not educated. We chose this topic because we knew our film will be on the internet. We hope the people and especially the government will watch our films and help the taxi drivers by trying to understand them and give them business.

Video Games
Nowadays most of the youth are getting addicted to video games and are neglecting their studies. They are stealing money from their parents to play video games. We hope that after watching this film, the people will understand the disadvantages of videos games and limit the time they spend on video games.

In 2008, Bhutan joined the growing number of democracies in the world when His Majesty the Fourth King formally stepped down as absolute monarch with the first elections. He undertook this radical change because he believed that it would be in the best interest of the nation to hand over sovereignty to the people. In doing so, he expanded the roles and responsibilities of each and every inhabitant of the country from being strictly that of a subject to that of a citizen. But what does this expansion entail?
We at the Bhutan Centre for Media and Democracy hope this video helps you explore your roles and responsibilities as a citizen.
